Known best for his supporting role amongst HBO’s comedy-drama series, Girls, and now as the villainous Kylo Ren in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, it’s obvious that Adam Driver’s career has jumpstarted and is on the rise. The internet has been buzzing like a colony of bees’ after Driver took the stage on Saturday as the host of Saturday Night Live, pulling out all punches on stage, bringing true comedic value and hilarity to fans’ around the world.
Driver took to the screen once again as the compelling, thought-provoking villain, Kylo Ren, where he went undercover at the Star Killer Base through a spoof centered around “Under Cover Boss.” Sporting a blonde wig, very similar to the style of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: A New Hope, glasses and an orange tactical technician’s vest, he spends a day on base trying to live a day in the shoes of his crew and staff. But, he may just mostly be interested in the opinion his crew members have on Kylo Ren.
The skit was absolutely hilarious, and within just mere hours of the premiere, fans’ throughout the 501st Legion were already planning their cosplay of the satirical character, ready to show their tribute to their favorite “Under Cover Boss.” However, that’s not the least of the favor shown to this parody character, when a perfectly customized 3 3/4” action figure of everyone’s favorite radar technician showed up online, nearly breaking the Internet. Complete with accessories, crossguard lightsaber and a perfectly matching card back.
It can be expected that this action figure is just tribute created by a devoted fan to show their passion for the comedic character, but no other information has been released on the action-figure, certifying it to be an actual product destined for consumer release.
