First Look: Star Wars Rogue One Costume Display Leaks Online

With just under a year to go until the release of the highly anticipated first standalone film of the Star Wars saga, Rogue One, fans were treated to an unexpected look behind-the-scenes at three costumes from the film.

Visitors, fans, journalists and media officials prepare to enter the doors of Spielwarenmesse, the world’s largest international toy convention, taking place in Nuremberg, Germany on January 27, 2016.  However, thanks to Twitter and the wonderful power of social media, user @DarrenArsenal1, fans are able to set their sights on what appears to be a display featuring costumes from Rogue One, an entire day early.

It was later confirmed that the photos were taken in Nuremberg, Germany when he initially shared photos of the exterior set-up, showing an army of First Order Stormtroopers from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

Darren then proceeded to begin sharing photos from the preview of the event, including many featuring three costumes from Rogue One.

Here we set our sights on the first close-up view of actor Diego Luna’s costume, which strikingly resembles the wears our beloved scruffy-looking-nerf-herder, Han Solo on planet Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back.

Although little has been released about the upcoming film, by connecting the dots between the first released image of the partial cast, the assumption can be made that we’re viewing the costumes worn by none other than Donnie Yen, Felicity Jones, and Diego Luna.

Rogue One will hit theaters on December 16, 2016, and will be focused on a group of resistance fighters and their mission to steal the Death Star plans, leading up to A New Hope. Thankfully anxious fans now have the opportunity to sit and diligently analyze the leaked costume images in an attempt to make any connection possible, leading to any possible plot connection.
