After waiting nearly a year for the return of the highest rated show on television, fans’ have been buzzing with news of Game of Thrones for months now, eager to learn anything and everything they possibly can about the unanswered plot that left us hanging on the edge of the cliff at the end of season five. In the shocking season’s finale we watched as Theon Greyjoy and Sansa Stark leapt hand-in-hand from the heights of the stone castle wall in effort to escape the sadistic Ramsay Bolton, though as the scene quickly shifted to that of the battle, we we’re left wondering if they survived the great vertical extent.
Thankfully, due to recent images shared by HBO earlier today, we’re able to confirm that both the Stark lady and head of Greyjoy house are both alive and well, confirming their successful endeavor in escaping Bolton.
In addition, we set our first sights upon a troubled and filthy Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen, leaving us to wonder if she isn’t in such safe hands of her captors.
Along with the photographic introduction from the series sequel, we can confirm that dear Arya Stark is still very much blind, as well as Myrcella Baratheon staying very much dead after she was poisoned and left for dead at the Red Keep. Tyrion Lannister also makes an appearance, showing a clean-kept scruffy side to the character that Thrones fans’ know and love.
We also are introduced to a couple of unknown characters pictured in the mix, and receive our first look at a very much older Bran Stark, standing beside Max Von Sydow portraying the Three-Eyed Raven.
We can’t help but wonder where the fan favorite Jon Snow lurks behind the shadows to the North Wall, pondering his possible return to the highly anticipated season.
Game of Thrones season six is set to air on April 24, 2016.
