Netflix and Dreamworks Bring Animated Series Centered Around “Home”

An adorable addition is coming to Netflix very soon thanks to a recently formed partnership with Dreamworks and the mass media streaming empire, as they announced this week that they’ve teamed up to transform the 2015 animated favorite, Home, into an animated Netflix Orginal Series.

The plot is once again centered around the pair, when ‘Oh’, the adorable extraterrestrial moves in with his closest pal and human friend, and her family, where he discovers the true meaning of ‘home.’ However, we can’t help but be reminded of a very similar film where an alien learns the moral of “family” in the competitor film, Lilo and Stitch.

It has been stated that both Jim Parsons nor Rhianna will be returning to reprise their vocal roles for ‘Tip’ and ‘Oh.’ New additions are set to bring voice to the lovable duo played by Rachel Crow (X Factor, Ringo 2) and Mark Whitten (Rolling High).

In addition, new voices will also join the crew in assistance of portraying the supporting characters, such as Ron Funches (Get Hard, Undateable), Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live), Abby Elliot (SNL) and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Blades of Glory).

While the plot and development are still progressing and in progress, we are eager to see what comes of the creative collaboration.

The series will be available in the United States, Canada, Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Nordic countries, Benelux and France. ‘Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh’ will be available on Netflix coming July 29.
