Warning: Possible spoiler alerts for Game of Thrones seasons’ 1-5 below.
It’s evident that the season five finale of HBO‘s fantasy-epic Game of Thrones left fans furious and confused, wondering if what they had just witnessed would play out in actuality, leaving viewers of the show without their most favored character, bastard-Stark, Jon Snow (Kit Harington). Fan rumors and theories developed almost immediately as acceptance and realization that Snow was actually gone was impossible to admit.
Though Kit Harington has sworn, through multiple interviews about his beloved character, that Jon Snow is in fact gone and that he is looking forward to the season premiere so that fans will be forced to realize and accept the inevitable.
With uncontrollable excitement and anticipation among viewers, paired with extremely tight correspondence and reporting restrictions, special guests and cast members joined together on the red carpet Saturday night to celebrate the sixth season premiere, hosted at the famous and iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood — making history as the sole audience to preview the season introduction before its television debut on April 24. The venue was transformed through themed decor and was dressed with pennants of house representation that included House Lannister, Stark and Targaryen.
The chatter amongst the famed red carpet continued to spread about the possible return of Snow, though Harington was nowhere to be spotted creating even more commotion amongst fans who are dying (quite literally) to learn if he will be restored from death. Thanks to IGN, we’re able to now hear what the cast actually thinks about Jon Snow’s return; including their opinions on the popular fan theories gracing every corner of the internet.
