Beginning his career as the infamous Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga, actor, Mark Hamill, will finally receive his much overdue star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 8. Marking the 2,630th star to be awarded on the Walk of Fame, the ceremony will take place on Hollywood Boulevard, directly in front of the El Capitan Theatre at 11:30PM. Hamill will be joined by famed Star Wars Director and creator, George Lucas, along with co-star, Harrison Ford, who will accompany President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Leron Gubler, to assist with the induction celebration, and reveal.
Producer of the Walk of Fame Ceremonies, Ana Martinez, stated in comment, “Star Wars’ fans will be over the moon hearing that their idol Mark Hamill is going to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We are proud to add this extraordinary actor on our historic Walk of Fame.”
Aside from his return to the Star Wars universe, in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” Hamill has appeared on multiple television series, and movies, such as “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” while also reprising his role as the Trickster in “The Flash”, and is set to appear next on screen in “Con Man,” starring James Caan, and Ving Rhames.
We’re truly excited to congratulate Mark on this much overdue achievement and cannot wait for the ceremony to take place.
